With just over 114,000 permanent residents, Lansing is one of Michigan’s largest cities. The summer months have idyllic weather for enjoying the Rivertrail, exploring the State Capital Building, visiting a Lugnuts baseball game, or the local Farmer’s Market. While in Lansing you are around 100 miles from Lake MI, Lake Erie & Lake Huron. Perfect for a beach day trip!
In the winter months, you can enjoy local festivals such as Silver Bells State Christmas Tree lighting, and the many museums around town (Impression 5 Children’s Science Center and The Michigan Historical Museum are my favorites!) The many State of Michigan workers that come Downtown every day mean that Downtown Lansing has some of the best restaurants in the area, and the nightlife is pretty hopping as well. Lansing’s neighborhoods are diverse and include everything from cozy bungalows built in the 1920s to newer construction homes from 3 years ago, condos, and everything in between.
