The county seat of St Johns and former railway hub, St Johns has much to offer. The beautiful Victorian homes of the City’s railroad days can still be found nestled among mature trees in the Downtown area. Along Old 27, you will find any commercial service you desire, as well as easy access to US127, Mt Pleasant, and Lansing. The Schools are the backbone of this community and there are several elementary schools around town that all feed into the large high school. Kids will love the Splash Pad, the Railway Museum, or perhaps a day at Sleepy Hollow State Park, just a few miles up the road.
During the second full weekend in August, the St. Johns community holds their annual Mint Festival with three days of arts & crafts, entertainment, kickball, basketball, bocce ball, a carnival, petting zoo, parade and more!
Housing prices vary dramatically in St. Johns, but the average price for a home here in 2021 was $215,454.
